MEET-UP & PARADE
It’s called Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival, and it will bring hundreds of people together from June 14-16 for a three-day celebration of African-American culture and its contributions to the world community. There will be vendors, music, workshops, a Black History parade, children’s activities, a Sisterlocks Meet-Up Tent and much more…
As a result of Dr. JoAnne Cornwell’s contribution to our Sisterlocks community, and the natural hair industry at-large, we would like to honor her for her passion and commitment to the natural hair lifestyle.
On Saturday, June 15, Dr. Cornwell will join us for the Juneteenth Atlanta Parade. Sisterlocks will have a position in the parade, as well as a parade float. [Please see details for participation]. After the parade, Dr. Cornwell will be available for a meet-and-greet at the Sisterlocks’ Meet-Up Tent. Come out and join the Sisterlocks family for this historic event!

WHAT'S THE PLAN?
Saturday will be filled with fun, festivities, a parade, shopping and a few Sisterlocks surprises. Dr. JoAnne Cornwell, the founder of Sisterlocks, will join us for the Juneteenth Atlanta Parade and will be available to meet & greet all Sisterlocks family members at the Sisterlocks’ Meet-Up Tent.
Saturday, June 15:
7:00am-7:30am: Event Check-in.
To expedite the process bring a photo I.D. or your registration receipt.
Location: Sisterlocks Meet-Up Tent (The Home Depot Backyard)
7:30am-7:45am: Transportation to Parade Start Point.
Ride MARTA (Vine City Station) to parade starting point (West Lake Station).
Location: Mozley Park (1565 MLK Jr. Drive NW, Atlanta 30314)
8:00am-10am: Pre-Parade Meet & Greet
Meet & Greet other Sisterlocks Parade participates.

10am: Parade Kick Off.
This is our time to Shine! Let’s represent Sisterlocks in the ATL. “Sisterlocks Rocks!”
12pm: Parade Arrives at Destination.
Cool off at the Sisterlocks Meet-Up Tent and meet Dr. JoAnne Cornwell.

1pm-6pm: Sisterlocks Meet-Up
Enjoy the networking, fun and festivities at the Sisterlocks Meet-Up Tent.
3pm-9pm: Discover The Festival (self-guided)
Meet and patronize some of the best artists, authors, craftsmen, business owners, and culinary artists in the country.
Sunday, June 16:
10am-9pm: Father’s Day at The Festival (self-guided)
Celebrate Father’s Day and enjoy all the festivities at the Juneteenth Atlanta Festival grounds.
